Ergonomics from an Indoor enthusiast

December 18th, 2009

This post from Jeff Atwood is a great, well researched and well commented summary on ergonomics for those of us who prefer to stay indoors.

A great read with some tips on computer workstation ergonomics.

A quick summary of Jeff’s main points

  1. The top of your monitor should be at eye level
  2. Your desk surface should be at roughly belly button level
  3. Your feet should be flat on the floor with your knees at a ~90 degree angle
  4. When typing, your wrists should be in line with your forearms and not bent up, down, or to the side
