The positioning of the post on the desk is one of the most important aspects of getting your workspace as ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing as possible. With the Integ Grommet (G) clamp, the post is able to be positioned at any point on the desk, not just the edge. This allows the position of the pole to be adjusted exactly as required.
To achieve this a hole needs to be drilled in the desk. For minimal drilling a small hole can be made just big enough for the G clamps threaded rod (8.5mm). For extra cable management a larger hole of 50mm can be drilled which will allow the install of the clamp as well as allowing cables to go directly through the desk.
